
Residents of the Mineola School District who have received a flier recently advertising a summer program at the Harbor Day School at the should be aware that it is not the same as the day care center being proposed to open at the beginning of the 2012-13 school year in the building.
At its May 2 meeting at the Willis Avenue School, the had approved an extension of the current license agreement for the summer program which will run from June 25 to August 31.
Superintendent Dr. Michael Nagler at that meeting said there was “some confusion about this last week when a flier went out from Harbor advertising the summer program.”

The district for after-school with a program that runs from about 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
“This is an extension of that (license renewal) which we negotiated prior to them sending the flier,” Dr. Nagler said.

The district is still for the use of the building during the 2012-13 school year to run a day care facility out of the building.
