Breast Health Seminar: “The Three R’s” – Reconstruction, Radiation and Relaxation

So many people have been touched by breast cancer. In recognition of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Winthrop-University Hospital’s Breast Health Center is pleased to announce that it will hold two empowering events during the first week of October for anyone who is concerned about breast health, or living with and/or caring for someone with breast cancer.

“The Three R’s” – Reconstruction, Radiation and Relaxation, is a seminar that will be offered on Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 6:00 PM. Matthew S. Kligo, MD, FACS, from the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group will discuss breast reconstruction; Janna Andrews, MD, from Winthrop-
University Hospital’s Division of Radiation Oncology, will explain positive and whole breast radiation treatment for breast patients; and Linda Hacker, RYT, from the Svadharma Yoga Project will demonstrate relaxation techniques through yoga.

Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required.
