Reports indicate that stress levels are on the rise for women, causing most to feel a negative impact on their health and well-being. To help women learn how to minimize the negative effects that stress, anxiety and depression can have on their lives, Winthrop-University Hospital is pleased to offer a free seminar, “I Can’t Do It All!” on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at 7:00 PM. It will be held at the Winthrop Community Outreach Center, located at 101 Mineola Boulevard, at the corner of Second Street in Mineola.
Michael V. Genovese, MD, Attending Psychiatrist at Winthrop, will define stress, anxiety and depression, and discuss common causes such as work, family, biological, social or emotional issues. Attendees will discover how they can manage these feelings beyond changing the situation or their reaction with effective cognitive, behavioral, and other management therapies. A question and answer period will follow the program.
Parking and the entrance are available in the rear of the building. Admission is free, but seating is limited and reservations are required. To reserve a seat, please call (516) 663-9761.
