The Long Island Children's Museum provides fun family activities for all age groups during the Thanksgiving break. Families can come see "Toys: The Inside Story" at the Museum until Jan 2. This traveling exhibit features 12 hands-on stations featuring the basics of common toys, including pulleys, cams, gears, linkages and circuits. Toys: The Inside Story was created by Montshire Museum of Science and funded by the National Science Foundation. Local exhibit support provided by Astoria Federal Savings.
Come to the Children's Museum on Nov. 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. for the sloppy but fun Messy Afternoons program. Play with goop, guts, shaving cream and Play-Doh, make a mess, and we'll clean it up! For ages 18 months to 4 years.
Also scheduled for Nov. 27 and 28 from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
