Stew Leonard’s Grand Tasting of 125-Plus Wines

Stew Leonard’s Wines of Carle Place will offer a Grand Tasting of more than 125 wines. The wines, which will be set up throughout 25 stations around the store, will be sampled to the public to taste free of charge. 

Wines representing 13 countries will be offered that day, including everyday values such as Hess Monterey Chardonnay ($8.99) to luxury items such as Cristal Champagne and Far Niente.  Many of the wines which will be included in the Grand Tasting are ones that are not commonly featured during in-store tastings, such as:

  • 2006 Castello Banfi Brunello di Montalcino: 92 Pts Wine Advocate/$59.99 (Normally $64.99)
  • 2003 Bertani Amarone: 91 Pts Wine Advocate/$99.99 (Normally $119.99)
  • 2009 Far Niente Chardonnay: 92 Pts Wine Spectator/$44.99 (Normally $49.99)
  • 2006 Dominus: 96 Pts Robert Parker/$139.99 (Normally $148.99)
  • 2004 Louis Roederer Cristal: 97 Pts Wine Advocate/$199.99

Stew Leonard’s Wines specialists will be on hand at the event to answer questions about the wines as well as make recommendations to any customers looking to take advantage of the event and get a jump start on their holiday gift buying!
