Menopause – this normal, natural phase of life can be quite challenging. But, women can also embrace this time in their lives, manage the changes in their bodies, and move forward healthfully.
For a fresh perspective, women are invited to attend Winthrop-University Hospital’s Inspiring Women: The Women’s Wellness Initiative free program, “Transitions: Through Menopause & Beyond,” on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 7:00 PM. The program will be held at Winthrop’s Community Outreach Center, 101 Mineola Boulevard, at the corner of Second Street in Mineola.
Elena Kastner, MD, Attending Physician in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Winthrop, will discuss common issues related to menopause, including but not limited to, sexual health, musculoskeletal health, and sleep problems, as well as explain the latest information about hormone therapy. The program will include a question and answer period, as well as information about relaxation techniques.
