To learn the latest recommendations and more, the public is invited to attend Winthrop-University Hospital’s Perspectives in Health free lecture, “Understanding & Controlling (IBD)”.
Raluca Vrabie, MD, Faculty Physician in Winthrop’s Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, will provide an overview of IBD, explaining this autoimmune disease which includes Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis. Find out why vaccinations are important, what you need to know about colon cancer screenings, and more. A question and answer period will follow the lecture.
Representatives from the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America will also be on hand to provide information and support.
