Student Officers
- The new student council officers for the 2011-12 school year were announced:
- President Quinn Pagi
- vice-President Zachary Englis
- Secretary Chris Gavin
- Treasurer Shirley Yeung
- The representatives to the board of education will be Matthew Moro and Mathias Pennirera.

- Since the District does not immediately receive the tax revenue from the recent , the Board is forced to issue Tax Anticipation Notes (TANs) in order to cover the gap between the time money is needed and when tax receipts begin to be received; taxes are collected in October and in May.
- The money, not to exceed $17 million, is borrowed for a period of one year and is repaid during that same year.
Staffing
- Jacqueline Marinelli was added to the Per Diem Substitute Teacher List at a daily rate of pay of $90 for students with disabilities (Birth - 2) and students with disabilities (1-6).

- The board approved a contract with Nassau County to provide contracted instructional services services relating to alcoholism and substance abuse for the OASAS Youth Drug Abuse Services program.
- Another contract was approved with the Labor Education * Community Service Agency, Inc. (LECSA), an employee assistance program, for services from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2012.
