Mineola High School to Host Second INN Fundraiser

In an effort to raise awareness of hunger on Long Island, Mineola High School will host its second annual fundraiser for the Mary Brennan Inn on March 21.

The Mineola Macaroni Making a Difference fundraiser will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on March 21 to benefit the largest soup kitchen on LongIsland, the Mary Brennan INN, and local community foodpantries.

For a $5 donation, attendees will get a pasta dinner, salad, soda and desserts, which were all donated by local businesses. In addition, the event will feature activities for children and mini-service projects, such as creating coloring books for the Ronald McDonald House and local children’s hospitals or making cheese sandwiches for the INN to distributeto its clients. The event raised almost $2,000 last year.
