Mineola Students Get Cre8ive With Recycling
Students presented their Cre8ive Container project at Barnes and Noble's first Mini-Maker Fair.
Denise Maynard and Hampton Street School’s S.T.E.A.M. program in the Mineola Union Free School District were invited to present their Cre8ive Container project at Barnes and Noble’s first Mini-Maker Fair.
Cre8ive Containers, an original program developed by Ms. Maynard, encourages students to recycle, remodel and reuse containers while incorporating an array of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics standards.
Students led the packed house of supporters as they explained the steps they took to become Ms. Maynard’s Mini-Maker Masters.
