NBC Promo Spot Reportedly Being Filmed in Mineola
Commercial reportedly for NBC 4 News.
A film crew was spotted around Mineola and Garden City Wednesday shooting what reportedly is a new commercial for NBC 4 News.
The crews were first spotted at about 11 a.m. at the Mineola on the southern platform in front of the stationhouse. Crews had set up equipment along the entire length of the platform in front of the structure.
Mike Baberick was one of the few to spot the crew and posted a photo to Twitter.

An hour later the crew was spotted on Rockaway Avenue at the small bus circle at the .
A crew member who was otherwise tight-lipped about the production, only identified the shoot as being for NBC Channel 4 and did not identify what anchor/ reporter was being filmed.

Upon observation of the filming, no dialogue was being recorded and the camera was being pulled back and forth while focusing on the reporter.
According to Garden City School District Officials, NBC 5 o’clock News anchor Chris Glorioso was at the high school interviewing Dr. Feirsen. The ad spot will be promoting NBC News’ coverage of stories (education and otherwise) on Long Island. The segment will not include sound but would feature images of Glorioso interviewing Dr. Feirsen. The ad is scheduled to air after Labor Day.
