Police: Serial Self-Checkout Diaper Thief Arrested
The suspect repeatedly stole diapers from Stop & Shop stores in Nassau County, police said.

Authorities recently arrested a man who went to numerous Stop & Shop stores across Nassau County to steal diapers using the self-checkout counter, police said.
According to police, Kevin W. Hargrove, 24, of Brooklyn, would scan bar codes for items worth about $1 instead of the bar codes for the diapers.
Hargrove stole diapers on about 14 different occasions, police said.

Hargrove was arrested at his apartment in Brooklyn at 3:45 p.m. Thursday and was charged with one count of grand larceny in the third degree and two counts of falsifying business records in the second degree.
He will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
