Survivor: South Pacific Watch – Episode 2

For those of you who are Survivor junkies, or who just want to know how our favorite local contestant did in the latest episode, Patch is keeping track of all the wheelings and dealings as Mineola teacher  tries to “Outwit, Outplay and Outlast” the 17 other contestants this season on “Survivor: South Pacific.”

The second episode of season 23 picks up after Semhar from the Savaii tribe is sent to Redemption Island after her tribe voted her out.

Meanwhile over in Upolu camp on the mainland, tribe member Edna is already singling out Christina as someone not to be trusted due to her relationship with Stacey.

Later in the episode Christine discovers a clue to the immunity idol while off on her own but decides on keeping the secret to herself.

In the immunity challenge, four players from each tribe must compete to untie ribbons from totem poles to obtain keys to free four of their other team members who then have to move crates across a platform.

Upolu initially has a large lead but Savaii catches up, overtaking them and winning immunity.

Back at the Upolu camp site, Benjamin “Coach” Wade, a player from the 2009 season, plays politic with the alliance he formed during the season premiere, splitting the vote between Christine and fellow player Stacey in order to find the immunity idol.

Tribe member Brandon then decided to try his hand at manipulating the vote, asking Christine to vote for Mikayla and playing on her fears that she may be sent home.

The intrigue deepens as at Tribal Council, Coach confronts Christine about voting for Mikayla, which she denies. In the end, Christine is voted out and is exiled to Redemption Island where she and Semhar from Savaii, who was voted out last week, will duel in episode three to see who is eliminated from the game.
