39-Year-Old New Rochelle Man 'Stable' After Mount Vernon Stabbing
Cops arrested 33-year-old Lovette Justice, of Mount Vernon, soon after the stabbing that police said was the result of an altercation.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A New Rochelle man is recovering at Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx from stab wounds and the suspect is in custody in Mount Vernon.
On Thursday, around 7:45 p.m., Mount Vernon police responded to the area of Petrillo Plaza on reports of a fight involving a knife. Officers who arrived on the scene found a 39-year-old man heavily bleeding from stab wounds to his torso and began to administer first aid.
The victim was then taken to Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx by ambulance. He is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to make a full recovery, according to police.

Mount Vernon police found and arrested the suspect, 33-year-old Lovette Justice, of Mount Vernon, soon after the stabbing. She was lodged in the Mount Vernon Police Department Jail and is expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon on the charges of attempted murder 2nd degree, criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree, attempted assault 1st degree and assault 2nd degree.
