Caught After Fleeing Bronx River Parkway Rollover Crash In Uber: WCPD
A manhunt for a driver who fled on foot from the serious crash ended when cops traced him through the car service he ordered nearby.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Westchester County police say that the driver they believe is responsible for a horrific crash is now in custody.
Police have arrested a Bronx man in connection with the hit-and-run accident that critically injured two people on Friday morning on the Bronx River Parkway.
Tyshawn Bishoppe-Harris, 21, was charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

On Friday, around 7 a.m., an Acura MDX traveling northbound on the parkway north of Oak Street slammed into the rear of a pickup truck, launching the truck off the parkway. The pickup rolled over and slammed into a tree.
Two men in the pickup were critically injured and remain hospitalized at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla.

The driver of the suspect vehicle fled on foot along with a passenger and they were last seen on MacQuesten Parkway in Mount Vernon. Detectives determined the pair left the scene in another vehicle, and later identified that vehicle as an Uber.
The investigation also determined that the Uber driver had no knowledge that his passengers were fleeing the police at the time.
