'FBI' Finale Filmed In Yonkers Pulled By CBS After Texas Shooting
The episode was set to air Tuesday, but CBS deemed the subject matter too similar to the recent mass shooting at a school in Texas.
YONKERS, NY — The season finale of the CBS drama "FBI" filmed in Yonkers was pulled from broadcast Tuesday after the mass shooting at a Texas elementary school earlier in the day.
The episode titled "Prodigal Son" was replaced with a rerun because the plot of the finale followed the fictional FBI agents as they worked to stop an impending school shooting. The network did not say if the finale will air at a later date.
Much of this season, the popular CBS showed was filmed on location in the Hudson Valley, including in Yonkers, Tarrytown and New Rochelle.

"As the team investigates a deadly robbery that garnered a cache of automatic weapons for the killers, they discover one of the perps is a classmate of Jubal’s son, who is reluctant to cooperate with the case,” according to an official synopsis of the never-aired final episode of the season.
The network's decision to pull the episode came within hours of 19 children and two adults being shot to death at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. The gunman was also killed in the shooting. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott identified the shooter as 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, of Uvalde. Ramos shot his grandmother before entering the school.
