UPDATE: Fatal Motorcycle Crash on I-87

At 11:41 p.m. Thursday, State Police were dispatched to investigate a Serious Personal Injury accident that occurred Southbound on I-87 in the City of Yonkers involving a single motorcycle.

Investigation at the scene reveled that Gerardo Semidey, 44, of Bronx, NY, was operating a 2006 Honda motorcycle southbound on the Thruway when he lost control of his motorcycle and struck a concrete barrier.

Semidey was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained massive injuries. After being transported to an area hospital he was pronounced deceased.

The accident is still under investigation. More information will be released as it becomes available.
