Multi-Jurisdiction Chase Leads To Capture Of Teen Robbers: YPD
Teenage suspects in a multi-state crime spree led police on a wild chase through the Bronx, Westchester and Stamford.

YONKERS, NY — Police say a multi-state crime spree ended with the arrest of three Connecticut teenagers.
On Wednesday, shortly after 4 p.m., Yonkers police responded to a burglar alarm at the Central Ave. Chrysler dealership. Officers found a suspicious running vehicle parked in front, a white 2022 Dodge Durango occupied by two masked suspects. Upon seeing the officers, the vehicle jumped the curb and fled southbound before making a U-turn and picking up a third suspect running from the dealership.
Yonkers police pursued the fleeing SUV on local streets and parkways in Yonkers and the Bronx, eventually following them onto the Hutchinson River Parkway to the Cross Westchester Parkway and I-95 into Stamford, Connecticut. At that point, the suspects abandoned the Dodge Durango in the area of Houston Terrace and fled on foot. Members of both the Yonkers and Stamford police departments searched the area, and officers found all three suspects hiding in another vehicle and placed them into custody.

The suspects are Connecticut males aged 17, 18, and 19. Officials said they are suspected of stealing the Dodge Durango in New Milford, Connecticut on Monday. In the early morning hours of Wednesday, they allegedly robbed a liquor store in Stamford, before heading to Yonkers and breaking into the Chrysler dealership where they allegedly stole key FOBs and several hundred dollars in cash, triggering the burglar alarm.
"Burglars, thieves, and all perpetrators of crime beware – the Yonkers Police will never tolerate the victimization of people or places in our City – we will track you down, arrest you, and deliver you into the criminal justice system and ensure that you will be held accountable for your actions," Commissioner Chris Sapienza said. "I applaud the outstanding efforts by our 1st Precinct Police Officers in denying their escape, and thank the Stamford Police Department for their assistance and collaboration in keeping both our communities safe."
