New Rochelle Cops Charge Mt Vernon Building Commish After Crash
Police say he was driving drunk.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police accuse Daniel Jones, the Mount Vernon building commissioner, of driving drunk and smashing up his SUV. Officers were called to a crash at the Glen Island Center on Pelham Road, New Rochelle Police Capt. Cosmo Costa told the press.
Officers found Jones in his wrecked 2017 Ford Explorer, police said. The 46-year-old's blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit. No one was injured.

“The City of Mount Vernon takes the reported incident very seriously and is conducting a full investigation into the circumstances. He is receiving the appropriate counseling and care following last night’s incident as well as recent incidents of cyber-bullying and harassment directed at him, which resulted in his filing a police report.”
