No Victims So Far In This Morning's Shooting, Cops Hunt For Gunman

Mount Vernon police said cars were damaged and shell casings were found at the crime scene, but there have not been any reported injuries.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Mount Vernon police are currently investigating a Wednesday morning shooting that damaged two vehicles.

On Wednesday, around 11 a.m., Mount Vernon Police Department officers responded to E. 3rd St., between S. 2nd Ave. and S. 3rd Ave., after receiving reports of shots fired.

Once at the scene, police discovered 9mm caliber shell casings and two damaged vehicle. The suspects in this incident are unknown and there were no injuries reported so far, officials said.

MVPD detectives are investigating the shooting incident in collaboration with the FBI Westchester Safe Streets Task Force and the Westchester County Police Real Time Crime Center.
