Officer Revived After Exposure To Unknown Substance At Police HQ: YPD
The officer was taken to a trauma center and the Central Booking facility was placed on lockdown until clearance by hazmat teams.
YONKERS, NY — Yonkers police are investigating a mysterious medical emergency involving one of their own.
Yonkers police said that shortly before 4 p.m. on Thursday, a Yonkers Police Department detention officer working inside the Central Booking facility at police headquarters, had a medical emergency when she came into contact with an article of prisoner clothing.
Police believe that she was exposed to an unknown substance, possibly fentanyl. First responders administered three doses of naloxone to revive the officer, who was then taken to a local trauma center in stable condition for evaluation.

The detention officer involved is a 10-year veteran of the police department, according to YPD.
