
YONKERS, NY — Yonkers police are asking the public's help to track down a car believed involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash on Bruce Avenue.
A pedestrian was hit by a car that did not stop at 2:55 a.m. March 8. Officers located the victim, Jesus Angel Villanueva, a 23-year-old resident of Radford Street, on the road with severe injuries. He died at a local trauma center.
Detectives from the Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit, along with investigators from the Accident Investigation Unit, responded to the scene, interviewing subjects and witnesses, reviewing surveillance video, and processing forensic evidence. Police found that the victim was struck by a gray four-door passenger sedan near the intersection of Bruce Avenue at Radford Street; the vehicle did not stop and fled the area.

Detectives are actively working to identify the registration and operator / occupant(s) of the vehicle; no arrests have been made at this time.

The Yonkers Police Department is also offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest of the operator. Anyone with information regarding the registration of the vehicle, or the identity of the operator / occupant(s), is asked to call the Yonkers Police Detective Division at (914) 377-7724 – all calls can remain confidential. 100% anonymous tips can be sent by texting the key word YPD plus the tip to 847411.
