Suspect At Large After Metro-North Parking Lot Shooting: MTA Police
Video footage confirmed that the shooting took place at 11:18 p.m. in the station parking lot, according to MTA Police.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — A weekend shooting at a Metro-North station left a victim in the hospital and a suspect on the loose.
Shortly before midnight on Saturday, MTA police responded to the south parking lot at the Metro-North Mount Vernon East Station after receiving reports of shots fired, according to MTA police spokesperson Aaron Donovan.
MTA police found a man with multiple gunshot wounds who was rushed to nearby Mount Vernon Hospital.

Police say that no weapons were immediately recovered at the scene.

A preliminary investigation found no connection between the shooting and any Metro-North trains, and there was no impact on train service, according to authorities.
MTA police say that the suspect fled on First Street in a vehicle and the investigation is still continuing.
