Utilities Restore Power to Most Customers after Storms
Con Ed, O&R and NYSEG all report a few scattered outages still
More than 14,000 homes and businesses were left without power after severe thunderstorms deluged the lower Hudson Valley Monday evening. Most had their power restored overnight.
Con Ed reports only about 300 of its customers are still without power.
A batch of them are in Vernon Park, according to the Con Ed outage map — about 50. The estimated time for power to be restored is 8 a .m.

At 7 a.m. there were still five homes in Cortlandt without power. The restoration time there is 10 a.m., according to Con Ed. One home without power in Port Chester had a restoration time of 3 p.m.
According to New York State Electric and Gas, 11 customers in Somers are still without power, two in Carmel and one in Kent.

In Rockland County, O&R reported six homes in Congers, 9 in Stony Point and 8 in Pearl River were still without power at 7 a.m. Restoration times were not available.
Con Ed said the storms did little to change the weather pattern — things will still be hazy, hot and humid.
