Victims ID'd, New Information On Horrific Holiday Crash Released

Two families are mourning the loss of loved ones after an SUV flipped over the median on the Saw Mill and landed on an oncoming car.

YONKERS, NY — The names of the victims in Sunday's fatal crash on the Saw Mill River Parkway have been released, along with new details about the high-speed traffic accident.

The driver of a 2019 Lincoln SUV, who was killed, has been identified as Adolph Cintron Jr. from Brooklyn, by Westchester County Police. The 57-year-old was headed southbound in the far left lane of the highway, according to investigators. His vehicle was launched airborne after hitting the concrete barrier at a spot where there is a small opening for use by emergency vehicles.

The Lincoln SUV flipped over and landed on its roof on the hood of another SUV that was coming northbound.

The driver of that vehicle, who was also killed, has been identified as Noe Perez Procopio. The 40-year-old Bronx man's wife and teenage daughter were in the 2017 Hyundai SUV with him at the time of the accident. They both suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to officials.

The driver of the third vehicle, which was also traveling northbound, was injured when a secondary collision occurred after the initial accident.

Authorities are still investigating what caused Cintron to lose control of his SUV.
