Westchester Teen Dies After Being Stabbed By Unknown Attacker
Mount Vernon police found the 19-year-old unresponsive with a single stab wound to his chest. He was declared dead at the hospital.

MOUNT VERNON, NY — Mount Vernon Police Department detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old Mount Vernon resident.
At 4 p.m. on Saturday, Mount Vernon police received a report of a man lying on the ground near N. Columbus Avenue and E. Lincoln Avenue.
The Mount Vernon Police Department’s Emergency Services Unit arrived on the scene and found the victim unresponsive with a single stab wound to his chest. The victim was rushed to Mount Vernon Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police are withholding the name of the teenage victim pending notification to family.
Mount Vernon police are asking that anyone with information regarding the stabbing contact the MVPD Detective Division at 914-665-2510. All calls will be kept confidential, according to police officials.
