Yonkers Cops Offer Reward In 12-Year-Old's Shooting
Two people fired at a group of young people outside a building and then fled, police said.

YONKERS, NY — A 12-year-old is still in hospital recovering from being shot, and police are offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Police were called to Highland Avenue at 1:48 a.m. Sept. 8 for a report of shots fired. The arriving officers found a pre-teen down on the ground with a single gunshot wound to the neck.
The boy was transported to a regional trauma center and police began an investigation.

Police said the victim was with a group of other young people in front of the building when two perpetrators allegedly fired a single shot each in the direction of the group from some distance away. The victim was struck by one of these shots and the shooters fled.
Yonkers Police Major Case Detectives are actively developing information to effect an arrest and are seeking the public's assistance. A $2,500 REWARD is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the alleged shooter(s).
