1st Annual John O'Hara Charity Golf Tournament
Please join us for the 1st Annual John O'Hara Golf Tournament to benefit the Kidney Cancer Association on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.
ohn O’Hara will forever be remembered for his great sense of humor, his quick wit, and his welcoming arms - to know him was to call him a friend. John and his family have lived in Nanuet, NY for over 40 years. He was an inspiration to all who knew him. His never-ending strength and bravery shined through as he welcomed every day with his larger than life smile. He leaves behind a trail of positivity that will remain as an example for all those he touched. A true “New Yorker,” John made his mark through various business ventures and community organizations all the while keeping his large family the true priority of his life.
The John O’Hara Golf Tournament is a certified 501(c)(3) charity organization founded in 2015 dedicated to the life of John. Its sole purpose is raising money towards research to defeat kidney cancer, the disease that took John’s life. Kidney cancer is among the 10 most common cancers in both men and women. For unknown reasons, the rate of new kidney cancers has been rising since the 1990s. In 2015, about 61,500 new cases of kidney cancer will occur.
Please join us at River Vale Country Club, September 23rd 2015, to celebrate not only John O’Hara’s life, but all those lives we plan to help in this fight. Our event will feature a great day of golf and many other activities including a putting contest, hole-in-one winner and team prizes. A delicious dinner, raffles and an auction will complete this special gathering to celebrate John’s life. What a perfect way to share good times, good friends, and good memories while supporting a most worthwhile cause.
