The Shops at Nanuet also provides children with special needs and their families with an opportunity to enjoy a carefully managed Santa photo experience through the Caring Santa program. Caring Santa will occur on Sunday, December 6 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., prior to the mall opening. Guests must register in advance at simon.com/caringsanta. Caring Santa events have expanded from seven Simon malls in 2011 to over 100 Simon malls today, reflecting the positive impact of this unique program.

The popular Pet Photo Night returns to the Simon Santa Photo Experience at The Shops at Nanuet this year on Sunday, December 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. Many pet owners view their pet as an integral member of the family and are just as committed in caring for their pets as their “human” family members. Pet Photo nights are hosted after regular mall closing and the set gets an extensive cleaning following the event to remove any potential risk to allergy sufferers. Please make sure all animals are either on a leash or in a cage. Reservations can be secured at simon.com/petphoto.

The 2015 Simon Santa Photo Experience is also sponsored by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment which is celebrating the highly-anticipated release of “Minions,” available on Digital HD on November 24 and on Blu-ray and DVD December 8. Come visit the Simon Santa Photo Experience and receive a fun-filled activity sheet and custom Minion holiday headband, pose for photos with the colorful Minions standee, and watch highlights from the movie.
Simon’s theme for Holiday 2015 is “Spread Love.” From the love of giving to those who matter, to children’s love of Santa, to celebrating love through holiday festivities with family and friends. Join Simon to experience the season’s good cheer with the best of holiday shopping and entertainment.

Throughout the holiday season, shoppers can engage in special events including a Kettle Campaign with The Salvation Army, choral groups, Annual Tree Lighting and a Menorah Lighting ceremony. In addition, People to People, Rockland County’s largest food pantry, will host its Giving Tree from November 27 through December 20. During that time, shoppers may participate by choosing a tag that represents the wish of someone in need, purchase a gift and return it to the People to People table (if staffed by a volunteer) or bring it to the mall management office, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. “One of the great traditions of holiday shopping at The Shops at Nanuet is the annual family visit to the Simon Santa Photo Experience,” said Briana Puncar, director of marketing and business development for The Shops at Nanuet. “I know Santa can’t wait to greet children bringing him their holiday wishes.”

Guests to every Noerr set will have another opportunity to share Santa’s heart by making a donation via The Noerr Programs to Save the Children. For nearly 100 years, this non-profit has given underserved children in the U.S. a healthy start, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. Since this program began four years ago, Noerr has collected over $978,000 largely due to the generosity of Simon shoppers. This season, Noerr will pass the $1,000,000 milestone.
