What's it like being a Falcon for a day? Albertus Magnus High School offers opportunities for prospective students to take a look at what it's like to be a student at their school. Althought their open house events are over, they still have "" available until Dec. 15.
"Falcon for a Day" allows students to spend a day as an Albertus Falcon. Available Monday through Friday, this program has the prospective student spend an 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. day at this private Catholic high school.
Lunch is provided and students are paired with a freshman Falcon Ambassador. A specific freshman can be requested and Albertus will try to honor requests, but there are no guarantees.

At the Open House, there were plenty of interested students and parents.
"I think it's a wonderful set up, very diversified; there are many different teams and clubs," said Beatrice Bernadin, a mother. In the cafeteria, were booths lining the walls with information and representatives from all the different sports and clubs Albertus offers.

Prospective students Christopher Garchitorena and Gary Vincent are both eighth-graders that currently attend a public school.
"Cross country or basketball because I've been playing basketball for a couple of years," said Vincent.
"We loved it (the open house). They did a wonderful job. It's friendly, informative. He ha a lot of friends that are going to go here," said mother Eileen Garchitorena. Her son Christopher plans to play baseball if he attends Albertus.
"I'm going to do cheerleading because I like the whole team and I like being the person that throws people," said Casey Bischoff, a seventh-grader.
"I thought it was very impressive. Better than I anticipated," said Casey's mother, Mary Lou Bischoff. "The children are the best. They did a great job representing themselves."
The Albertus faculty and staff were very proud of their open house.
"I think it's going extremely well," said Caroline Gizzi, Albertus alumni and tennis coach. "They included every single club, every single sport and represented each part of the school very well."
"I think they did a great job," said John DeJulia, Albertus golf coach. "The (booth) displays are fantastic. Athletics is very strong here."
"I think open house is a huge success," said Noreen Power, Albertus Director of Admissions. "I think the students and faculty speak for themselves.
