New Paltz's Zindler, Kean's Orozco, R-Newark's Amadou Earn NJAC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors (njacsports.com) — SUNY New Paltz forward Ryan Zindler has become the first Hawks men's soccer player ever to earn NJAC Offensive Player of the Week, after scoring four goals and an assist over two recent games. His early-season scoring surge has him tied for the conference lead in goals and points as New Paltz competes in its inaugural NJAC campaign.
   

3. Jean-Marc Superville Sovak Reframes Hudson Valley History (chronogram.com) — SUNY New Paltz is hosting Jean-Marc Superville Sovak's exhibition "Open for Unfinished Business" at the Samuel Dorsky Museum through December 6, with an opening reception on September 19. The show uses New Paltz-sourced materials, local archives, and powerful installations to confront buried Hudson Valley Black histories, including a Newburgh burial ground whose remains are currently held at SUNY New Paltz.
   

4. Community groups say governor's data center proposal lacks public input (midhudsonnews.com) — New Paltz advocacy and campus groups are among nearly 100 organizations pressing Governor Hochul to add more public input to her statewide data center moratorium process. They argue the state's summer timeline, limited outreach, and lack of public hearings left communities without a real voice in decisions that could shape local economies, energy use, and environmental impacts.
