Owner and Executive Chef Guy Vaknin is forging ahead with reopening plans during the pandemic in a safe and swift way to offer his plant-based specialties to the masses during a time when healthy options are in more demand than ever before.
Beyond Sushi’s menu has evolved vastly since first opening on W. 14th Street in 2012. New signatures dishes available for delivery include Oyster Mushroom Tacos with pickled red cabbage, cilantro, avocado mousse and a chipotle sauce, Stuffed Artichoke Hearts with turmeric ground seitan, celery root purée, green pea and mint sauce and Spanakopita with flaky phyllo, spinach, feta, smoked paprika and dill caper dip in addition to their vegan sushi rolls, dumplings and wraps.

Beyond Sushi is also finding ways to give back during this crisis through a partnership with the Support + Feed initiative that was created by Billie Eilish and Finneas' mother Maggie Baird. People can support vegan businesses during the coronavirus pandemic as well as key workers on the front lines. Once the program had shown immediate success in Los Angeles, Baird expanded to the Big Apple with Beyond Sushi as one of its first east coast partners. When you place an order at Beyond Sushi you have the option to add a monetary donation for the Support + Feed program. People can donate here to help feed first responders, healthcare professionals and senior centers across NYC affected by COVID-19.
