Two weeks after Gotham FC standout Midge Purce stepped into the Broadway spotlight, delivering the opening monologue for the Tony Award-winning musical Chicago at Ambassador Theatre, Gotham FC will host their first ever Broadway Night on Friday May 16 at 7:30 PM, where the team will celebrate the best and brightest from the stage at Sports Illustrated Stadium.
Eight Broadway shows will be tabling at Fan Fest before the game with fan giveaways, including: & Juliet, Aladdin, Book of Mormon, Death Becomes Her, Hell's Kitchen, Operation Mincemeat, Six, and The Lion King.
At the start of the match, Honor Joy Savage, who is playing Christie in the new musical Joy will perform the National anthem. Alyssa Fox, who stars as Elphaba on Broadway in Wicked, will light the ceremonial pregame torch.
Considered one of the top women’s soccer clubs in the world, Gotham FC started the 2025 NWSL season in March, loaded with U.S. Women’s National Team stars, World Cup winners, Olympic medalists and European and South American champions. Gotham won the 2023 NWSL Championship and reached the semifinals in 2024 after the most successful regular season in club history.
