Mott Street Mile is a 1-mile race on the streets of Manhattan Chinatown presented by Run for Chinatown.
This year we are adding a kids dash! Registration is free and open to participants ages 2-11. This is an untimed event. The course is a ¼ mile out and back loop on Mott Street, between Bayard and Worth Street. The kids dash will start at approximately 8:20 am, after the final runner of the 1-mile race crosses the finish line.
Check-in will open at 7:00 am, location pending. All participants (1-mile runners and kid dashers) need to check in. Bathroom and bag check will be available.
In the 1-mile race, medals will be awarded for first, second, and third places for adults in the categories of male, female, and nonbinary. In the kids dash, medals will be awarded for first, second, and third place overall regardless of gender.
This is an unsanctioned race, meaning it will take place without official permits or full road closures. While we will work closely with local officials and a dedicated team of volunteers to regulate traffic and create a safe environment for racing, participants should be aware of the unique nature of this event.
The race is strictly for runners—walking the route is not permitted. To maintain the integrity and flow of the event, all participants must sustain a running pace and complete the course within 15 minutes.
