New York Native Featured in Chicken Soup for the Soul Book

Two stories written by Colleen Lent, a native of Binghamton, appear in Chicken Soup for the Soul: I Can't Stop Laughing that was released on April 28, 2026. Lent's comical anecdotes "Turtle Crossing" and "The Senior Citizen Holiday Food Challenge" appear in this collection of 101 true stories. As a longtime writer and former university journalism instructor, Lent says she's honored to be featured in this anthology of hilarious narratives from contributing authors across the United States and Canada. Lent credits her grandparents from Johnson City and college professors from Clark University for fostering her love of writing and reminding her of the benefits of humor. "I'm grateful to the publishers of Chicken Soup for the Soul for providing writers with an avenue to spread laughter and joy, giving readers an unplugged break from hectic schedules and current events,” Lent added.
