Competition is Stiff in Reality TV's Latest Craze

Contest-based reality TV has been a tried and true format for entertainment throughout the years and it continues to be so with more and more reality shows offering prizes to ‘Average Joe’ competitors.

FOX-TV's American Idol remains one of the most popular reality based competition shows. It consistently pulls in some of the highest ratings in television among both reality based and fictional television programs. It is credited with spawning NBC-TV's The Voice and America's Got Talent, as well as ABC-TV's Dancing with the Stars, among others. Whether competitions are played out in a house, a jungle, an island, or in a drag queen werk room, the reality is millions are sure to tune in.

The latest competition to hit the streaming airwaves is probably the realest of them all. The Great BateWorld BateOff! premieres today on BateWorld. The weekly competition series features the world’s leading bators - a term for those who engage in masturbation - as they battle it out in challenges including "hands-free orgasm", "toy technique" and something called "self-milking"? The winner takes home the coveted title of, you guessed it, "Master Bator”.

“The Great BateWorld BateOff! is to the bating community what RuPaul's Drag Race is to drag,” says TheCockyPrince, a 26-year old man from McAllen, Texas. He says that when he was asked to join the competition, he didn't think twice. "Last year's competition was such a blast to watch. I knew I wanted to be part of it one day!”

His strategy for winning will be keeping viewers on edge by overloading their senses with stimulating content packed with triggering sounds and trippy, psychedelic visuals.

He will be facing six other bators, including Bator Mutt, a 25-year-old man from Laveen, Arizona, who is excited to showcase how being a bator interplays with his identity as a pup .

24-year-old Colby Jaxx, who hails from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, believes his energy and charm will play to his advantage in the competition, while Gay Heaux, 25 from Tampa, Florida, is relying on his relatable personality and the fact that he is well-endowed.

Mexican Gooner, a 35-year-old man from New Mexico is eager to represent the Latino community in the series. “The bating community is more inclusive than ever before and its important fans see that more color means more fun!”

Your Girlfriend, 26 from Chicago, also agrees in the importance of visibility. As the first non-binary person to compete in The Great BateWorld BateOff!, they hope that their presence serves as a thank you to all of the bators who have accepted them into the community. “I feel at home in this community of beautiful, kind freaks who appreciate my clowning around and showing off. I hope my videos fuel all my bator buds.”

Last year's winning bator, ProudBator, will host the weekly series. His advice to the seven bators competing is to remember to have fun and to enjoy themselves. “Winning the first ever The Great BateWorld BateOff! was not something I strategized over,” he reflects. “I simply showed everyone how it’s done by doing what I knew works for me.”

Viewers are invited to vote for their favorite bator after every week's competition. The Master Bator will be announced during the show’s grand finale, airing live, June 22nd on BateWorld.
