Hero Boy in Hell's Kitchen and Wilson Rivas Craft Services and Catering in NYC began receiving phone calls from film and television production companies their craft catering company has worked with in the past asking for ways to help with food deliveries for hospital workers. They decided to take decisive action by shutting down their gourmet sandwich shop Hero Boy to transform it into a commissary and distribution center and focus on feeding frontline workers.

The team behind the Good FighT on CBS teamed up with Hero Boy dedicating their time to helping the medical front liners in the fight against Covid-19. Wilson Rivas explains, "I am so thankful for their support during this time."

To date the Hero Boy team has delivered to 1,000 hospital workers at Metropolitan Hospital, St. Barnabas Hospital, Hackensack Hospital, Kings County Hospital and will be delivering to Kings County and NYC MTA Hospital this week.

They're utilizing their main kitchen at 494 9th Avenue in a safe way following all codes and guidelines and are available to deliver to hospitals in Manhattan, New Jersey or the Bronx. The Hero Boy team consists of 5-7 people safely handling the food and packaging it for delivery and distribution.

Hero Boy is also setting up a donation page to cover the delivery costs and guarantee all meals are created in a safe environment.
