The new French restaurant in Chelsea has set up a GoFundMe page and plans to continue deliveries in the coming weeks.

Loulou opened to rave reviews a fanfare less than a month ago. Then the world changed and co-owner Loulou Mathias Van Leyden had to decide whether or not to close completely. He and his business partners ultimately decided to fight and began delivery and takeout. He went a step further this weekend, delivering meals to New York Presbyterian/Columbia University ICU staff members on Sunday, March 22nd because of a fundraiser set up by Seven Rooms and made his second delivery to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital today. He looks forward to continuing with more in the days and weeks to come.

Loulou is asking for help through donations where 100% of the proceeds will go to preparing and delivering meals to doctors during this time. Loulou Petit Bistro & Speakeasy (176 8th Avenue) is named after co-owner Mathias Van Leyden’s adorable rescue dog. The restaurant serves French classics for lunch, brunch and dinner for takeout and delivery and is looking forward to reopening as soon as it's deemed safe. https://www.loulounyc.com/
