Cops Grab Man Walking Bed-Stuy With Loaded Machine Gun
A man toting a loaded AR-15 and more than 70 rounds of ammo was arrested on Halsey Street, police said.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN -- Cops grabbed a loaded machine gun and more than 70 rounds of ammo from a man walking around Bed-Stuy Friday night, police said.
Police found Anthony Morgan, 26, toting a modified and loaded Sharps AR-15 rifle on Halsey Street between Marcy and Nostrand avenues at about 10:30 p.m. on March 1, according to police and court records.
The Nighttime Anti-Crime Team arrested Morgan and seized the illegal gun, ammunition and several high-capacity magazines, said NYPD Chief Rodney Harrison.

"This gun was actually out on public," Harrison wrote in a Tweet. "Outstanding work helping to keep the people of #BedStuy safe."
Morgan was arraigned Saturday in Brooklyn Criminal Court on charges of criminal Possession of a machine gun, loaded firearm, ammo clip and stolen iPhone, according to police and court records.

He was held on a $200,000 bail, court records show.
