SURVEY: Should NYC Kids Have To Wear Masks At School?
Public school students have to wear masks when they go back to the classroom on Sept. 13. What do you think?
NEW YORK CITY – With the Delta variant of COVID still raging across the country, New York City's mayor still vows all public school students will be back in the classroom after summer break – and all will be masked.
The mask mandate affects everybody in the school buildings. They must be worn at all times when inside.
But, with 58 percent – or 300,000 – of the schools' population of 12 to 17-year-olds at least partially vaccinated, is requiring masks at all times necessary? The city's 20,000 high school athletes and their coaches have been told they must be vaccinated.

A little more than 75 percent of adults in the city have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
