Tax Day Dining & Drinking Deals in NYC

Brooklyn Chop House, Fornino, Ten Hope, Make My Cake & Beyond Sushi will be offering drinking and dining specials on Wednesday, July 15th.

For Tax Day this year, Brooklyn Chop House will pick up the sales tax for all guests dining on their new outdoor patio on Wednesday, July 15th. Fornino will have $10 margaritas on hand while Ten Hope is offering their Ten Hope Hot Dog. Make My Cake will offer up a free cup of iced or hot coffee and plant-based eatery Beyond Sushi is kicking off a daily Happy Hour beginning this Friday, July 10th.

Brooklyn Chop House (150 Nassau Street) in FiDi has over 50 seats for sidewalk dining steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge. Patrons can make a reservation via OpenTable and seating is offered Monday - Sunday from 12pm - 10pm. Indulge in everything from seafood and noodles, to 30 - 35 day dry-aged Prime Steaks and Double Thick Cut Chops. Splurge on 32oz Dry-Aged Bone-in Tomahawk and a 48oz Dry-Aged Porterhouse for two and Salt & Pepper Lobster Tails. Other dishes include Spicy Kung Pao Chicken, Rock Shrimp Tempura, and Colorado Lamb Chops. Enjoy their delicious cocktails as well which include frozen Lychee Martinis.

Fornino is offering $10 margaritas for pick up or dine-in guests at their Greenpoint (849 Manhattan Ave.) location, which has 24 outdoor seats and their Brooklyn Bridge Park Pier 6 location, which has outdoor seating for 100 available to take in the sunshine and chef and owner Michael Ayoub's wood-fired pizzas, salads and sandwiches and alcoholic beverages.

Ten Hope (10 Hope St.) in Williamsburg is offering their Ten Hope Hot Dog with house made ketchup, mustard and potato chips and a draft beer for $10.40, starting at 5pm on Tax Day. The Ten Hope Outdoor Garden features a 2,500 square-foot vine-laced open-air patio that has ample socially distanced seating in a green environment with fresh air, fresh food and with entry directly from the street.

Make My Cake is offering diners a free cup of iced or hot coffee with any purchase from their Upper West Side (775 Columbus Ave) location or their Harlem (2380 Adam Clayton Powell Jr Blvd) location. Pair the coffee with everything from pies and cobblers to cakes, cupcakes and cookies with the ability to customize everything.

Beyond Sushi is offering a $3 glass of wine/sake or $3 beer with every dish purchased from 4-6pm at their Nolita (215 Mulberry St.) location, which has 6 outdoor tables as well as their Upper East Side (1429 3rd Ave.) location, which has 8 outdoor tables. Dishes you can pair with the specials include Executive Chef Guy Vaknin’s signature vegan and kosher specialties including his vegan take on a spicy tuna roll with the Spicy Mang, in addition to the Mighty Mushroom, Sweet Tree Roll, Sunny Side Roll, Pickle Me Roll and Smoky Jack Roll. They also go far Beyond Sushi with dishes like their Fun-Guy Dumplings, Chipotle Seitan skewers and the Nutty Buddy Rice Paper Wrap. The tables are offered first come first served.
