US Open Food Items Empty Wallets With Speed Of A Federer Serve
Wash down a $10 hot dog with a $12 beer.

QUEENS, NY — Hungry tennis fans can expect their cash to move faster than Roger Federer's serve at this year's US Open.
The tournament, which got under way at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on Aug. 26 and runs until Sept. 8, is expecting hundreds of thousands of tennis fans to flock to Queens to watch the world's best players compete.
Any avid tennis fan needs a full stomach to bounce around the many different courts, so Patch headed to the first week of the tournament to check out some of the food and beverage options on offer.

We found that, with prices like these, your wallet will thank you to eat before you arrive.

There's no more traditional sports food item than the hot dog, but it will cost you almost $10 to get a foot long version of the American classic at the US Open. Washing it down with a can of Heineken will cost you another $12 and, if you want to complete the meal with a bag of Kettle potato chips, that's another $4.75.

The six inch version of the hot dogs are $7.50.

This aesthetically pleasing margherita pizza will cost you $15 at the US Open. Other options from Neapolitan Express include pepperoni, sausage, and even a Nutella pizza for dessert. All of the pizzas feature locally sourced vegetables and organic ingredients, according to the US Open.

Chicken sandwiches are all the rage across the country right now, and you can get this version of the beloved meal for $9 at one of the many Prime Burgers around the tennis facility. Adding fries is an additional $6.50.

There is no food or drink item more associated with the US Open than the ultra popular Honey Deuce cocktail this year. The tasty mix of Grey Goose vodka, lemonade and raspberry liqueur with a garnish of tennis balls that are actually melon balls has been the official beverage of the tournament since 2007, served up at Grey Goose Bars for a sobering $18.
Over 1,000,000 Honey Deuces have been sold to date, according to Forbes.

- Fish Shack: Lobster rolls, shrimp cocktail and salmon.
- Chicken Country: Fried chicken.
