The U.S looks to continue its hot start against the undefeated team from Sweden Thursday. Here are the best spots in NYC to watch the game.
NEW YORK, NY — The United States women's team is rolling through the competition in the early stages of the World Cup. The powerhouse American team followed up its 13-0 thrashing of Thailand with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Chile on Sunday.
Now the players turn their sights to their first true challenge of the tournament: a Thursday, June 19 matchup with an also undefeated Sweden team. Sweden is coming off a 5-1 win over Thailand and sits as the ninth ranked team in the world.
USA, as the number one ranked team, will still go into the game as massive favorites, but Sweden did eliminate the United States in the quarterfinals of the 2016 Olympics.

Under the Manhattan Bridge in Dumbo: 50 Adams Street, Brooklyn
It's not a bar, but the soccer watch party spot is the official New York Times endorsed location as the best venue to watch team U.S.A.'s journey. With an 80-inch screen and fake grass to sit on, it's a fun viewership experience.
Smithfield Hall NYC: 138 West 25th Street, Manhattan
Smithfield Hall deserves a mention in any list of the best spots to watch soccer games in New York City. The lower Manhattan joint is a cathedral for the sport and the bar is showing every team U.S.A World Cup game in the 2019 tournament. If you want to watch the game with true soccer supporters, Smithfield Hall is the place for you.
Tonic Times Square: 727 Seventh Avenue, Manhattan
Tonic Times Square is a great sports-watching bar, and it also just so happens to generally have a large Swedish and Danish contingent within its walls. The bar, located in the heart of Times Square, is the spot for you if you're a Sweden supporter.
Banter: 132 Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn
In the same way that Smithfield Hall deserves a spot in any NYC soccer viewership list, so does the Banter bar in Williamsburg. The location is showing every Woman's World Cup 2019 game live, and expect a big crowd for the powerhouse matchup between U.S.A and Sweden.
Lansdowne Road: 10th Avenue Between 43rd and 44th Street
Lansdowne Road is as true a sports bar as you will find in New York City. Named after the world's oldest rugby stadium, the midtown Manhattan spot has always put an emphasis on soccer, and it should serve as a great spot to watch Thursday's showdown.
