Yankees To Cut Detail From Uniform That's Been There Since '73: Report
If these design changes are made, the road uniforms will look a lot like they did back in the pre-1973 era.

QUEENS, NY — The Yankees are set to remove a detail from their road jerseys that have decorated the uniforms since they were first introduced in 1973, according to an exclusive report in Uni Watch.
According to a page from the 2024 MLB Style Guide, which was obtained by the outlet, the Yankees road jerseys will no longer feature a white outline around the chest lettering and back number, or a white trim on the sleeve cuffs.
Without these details, the road uniforms will look a lot like the flannel ones worn by the team before 1973.
