1 Killed in 1-Truck Thruway Rollover
The Rockland County ME pronounced the driver dead at the scene, police said.
A 1-truck crash on the New York State Thruway took the life of the driver late Friday night.
At 11:33 p.m. Dec. 4, state police were called to investigate a rollover accident that occurred southbound on I-87 in Suffern.
Police said the investigation has revealed that John Rivera, 59, of Bridgeport, CT, was operating a 2007 Volvo tractor-trailer when he lost control of his vehicle.

The truck struck the guide rail off the left shoulder of the roadway and continued across both lanes of traffic, rolling over.
Rivera was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Rockland County Medical Examiner, police said.
