11 Reasons to Use LinkedIn for Your Business

Many business owners says the same thing; in fact, just a couple of days ago I spoke to someone who mentioned that they would recommend the network to their real estate client, but didn’t know why and how would they use it.

You can network through

  • participating in group discussions
  • sharing updates via your profile, page and to your groups
  • sending direct emails to your connections
  • getting introduced to connections who are outside of your immediate circles
  • staying on top of the happening by monitoring your news feed and follow influencers, and comment on their shared content
  • writing a testimonial for your connections, showcasing how their expertise made a difference in your life and business (do not expect to receive one as a favor, giving a testimonial should be a genuine act)

To increase your reach, you can

  • run a LinkedIn paid ad
  • integrate your profiles with other social platforms
  • link company page to specific pages on your website
  • showcase your publications within your profile, even make it downloadable
  • endorse your connections for skills and expertise (please only do so for those you have actual experience working with)
Anyway, nothing happens until you make it happen. So, simply creating an account and sharing your basic information is not going to result in added business for you. Keep in mind that you have to be social first, need to build relationships first. Yes, it does sound time consuming, ad it really is, but there are numerous ways you can save your time, reach your strategic connections, make a great impact and truly benefit from it.
