14U Clarkstown Stars Win State Tournament
Team advances to AABC Northeast Region Tournament July 21-24 in Troy, NY.

The 14U Clarkstown Stars are the NYAABC Federation State Champions. They won the tournament which was held July 1 through July 7 in the Bronx.
Following a slow start in game one and suffering a 5-0 loss, the team kicked it into gear and stormed through the tournament. Christian Conklin, Vincent Lea, Robert Donnelly, and Joe Siciliano threw fur straight complete games to lead the team to the tournament championship. The Stars outscored their opponents 32-8 over the four game span to grab the title.
The pitchers were backed by the stellar defense and timely hitting of Billy Atzel, Stephen Collamore, Justin Acosta, Angelo Koutsavis, Luke LeClair, Nazar Aprahamian, Rory Maglich and Paulie Jorgensen throughout the tournament. The team is managed by Rich Acosta. The assistant coaches are Bob Conklin, Simon Aprahamian and Eric Jorgensen.

The team now moves onto the AABC Northeast Region Tournament in Troy, NY held July 21 through 24. In this tournament, the Stars will lock horns with some of the best travel teams in the Northeast. The winner of this tournament advances to the AABC World Series in Surprise, AZ.
