2 Nabbed On I-87 On Cocaine, Heroin Possession-Related Charges In Rockland County: NYSP
State police say that they were found with 71 grams of cocaine and 5.7 grams of heroin, although they both denied ownership of the drugs.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — A traffic stop led to a felonious discovery, according to police.
The New York State Police say that troopers from Tarrytown arrested 43-year-old Damien J. Devone, of Brooklyn, and 36-year-old Harry N. Olds Jr., of Albany, on several felony charges of criminal possession of controlled substances and intent to sell.
Around 6 p.m., on Wednesday, troopers stopped a 2025 Chevrolet Malibu traveling north on the NYS Thruway (I-87), in Clarkstown, for a traffic violation.

When speaking with the driver, Devone, and the passenger, the trooper found that Devone's license had been revoked. Both men were found to be in possession of 71 grams of cocaine and 5.7 grams of heroin. However, they both denied ownership of the drugs.
Devone was charged with felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug intent to sell); felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug intent to sell, prior conviction); felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic; felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic; and several vehicle/traffic law violations.

Olds Jr. was charged with two felony counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (narcotic drug intent to sell); felony third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic; and felony fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance/narcotic.
The pair was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court on Thursday.
Devone was remanded to the Rockland County Jail with a court date of April 13.
Olds Jr. was released on his own recognizance, and is scheduled to return to court on May 4.
