2016 'Best 100 Middle Schools in New York' List Released
There were 34 lower Hudson Valley schools on this year's list, compared to 33 on last year's.

Niche.com has released its 2016 rankings of public middle schools across the country, with 34 schools in the Hudson Valley making the list of the top 100 in New York.
That's essentially the same number as last year when 33 lower- and mid-Hudson Valley schools made the list in Niche's 2015 rankings.

A high ranking, according to Niche, indicates that a school “is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students and faculty, and the students are very happy with their experiences.”
