5 Arrests Made During Clarkstown DWI Checkpoint
Route 59 in West Nyack was the location of the traffic stop.
The Town of Clarkstown Police Department arrested five individuals for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated during a DWI checkpoint Nov. 28.
Funding from the Rockland County STOP-DWI Office and the New York State Highway Traffic Safety Council made the checkpoint possible.
The checkpoint was in operation from 11:30 p.m. to 4 a.m. on Route 59 in West Nyack.

In addition to the DWI arrests, five vehicles were impounded at the scene and one additional arrest was made for operating with a suspended license.
